Welcome to my systematics and biogeography blog
Welcome to WordPress.com. As this is my first web blog just a word or two on what I hope to achieve. As a systematist and Biogoegrapher working at the Natural History Museum in London and Kew Gardens in Kew, Surrey, I wish to call on fellow colleagues and students to participate in recent developments in theory and practise of both subjects. In addition for the last 20 years or so Paul Williams, Dick Vane-Wright and I have been developing a software package, WORLDMAP, for undertaking various projects in conservation and area selection, by combining taxonomic, ecological and biogoegraphic information into a standardised system.
